information regarding this year's

adjusting the model.

the grade levels.

the small groups.

The MODEL

LITURGY

Each child will come with their

parent(s) to the church 1x/month.

LESSON

That child will also be dropped at the

parish hall for class 1x/month.

*We are requiring the parents

of 1st and 2nd graders

to be present with

their children for

the lesson.

THE VISION

The liturgy in the church

will be related to the content

of each lesson in order to promote

repetition and continuity.

Each month's teachings

will be based on the Scriptures

that are connected to the

liturgical seasons.

Mass on Sunday, for example,

will serve to reinforce what

is being presented.

THe LESSONS

Each month's lesson is part of

a curriculum created by Amy Keller,

Alex Resch, Mary Rose Gallipeau

and Father Rob.

The presentation of each lesson will

be consistent and always

in these three parts:

1. The Teacher will present a lesson from one of the Gospels, proposing a clear lesson, and connecting it to a Saint from the Scriptures.
2. The children will move with their small groups through a series of stations to engage with the lesson through hands-on activities.
3. The students will sit together in their small groups with their facilitator for reinforcement and the opportunity to ask questions.

The lesson for the 1st and 2nd

graders, however, will be

slightly different.

* 1st and 2nd graders will be engaged with more song and activity, and each lesson will contain a way to prepare them for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

OFF WEEKS

Families of students in

the 3rd through 8th grade

will be given access to

Faith Journals.

Facilitators will use this

online educational tool to

communicate with their

small groups .

Click for More Information

Faith Journals will provide

the opportunity for the children

to reflect spiritually on the Scripture

passages from that month's lesson

by writing their own personal

reflections and sharing

them with their

facilitator.

REQUIRED MATERIALS

Families do not need to

purchase anything.

Tuition will cover the cost

of the Faith Journals software.

And Bibles can be provided to

those families that request

a paperback edition.

Students will be provided

with cards containing all of

the prayers they will

memorize.

TUITION

There is no charge for the

program for those families who

tithed a minimum of $520

to the parish of Christ the King in 2022.

All other families must pay

a tuition of $300 for 1 child,

$375 for 2 children; or

$425 for 3+ children.

We know that our model of

Faith Formation is different

from those offered by

other parishes.

But we believe some other

parishes would offer something

similar if they were able.

As it happens, it takes a good deal

more effort and cooperation

than the programs we

grew up with.

And while we can't say how long

we'll be able to offer this model

we are nevertheless

able to now.

And considering the state

of the world, we think it is

worth the effort.
